When I first created the Theme My Xbox app I never expected to reach 25,000 downloads, have numerous articles written about the app, or even such a great community that has grown with the app. And here we are now, 8 months later with over 130,000 downloads, several articles written about the app, one including on Windows Central. I'm absolutely amazed at how great this has been! Sure, there has been some hiccups along the way, some bugs that need squashed; but overall the response from the xbox community has been overwhelming and drives me to keep this app going.
With that said, as of now I've been funding the servers 100% from my own pocket and this hadn't really been a problem. But in order to maintain the servers with the growth of the app, some kind of monetizing needs to be done. Yes there are ads on the site but those only go so far to generating income for the service. So there is the issue I am faced with and would like to gather as much feedback as possible before moving forward.
Here's my ideas:

I've set up a quick survey below that will help me gather feedback before anything gets set in stone, if you could take a moment of your time and answer the few questions it would be greatly appreciated!
Our current stance towards adult oriented content starts off with one thing: Absolutely no nudity partial or full! Other images in which the primary focus is of adult nature will also be rejected.
Our app is something that is geared towards users of all ages and genders, having adult oriented content within the app just isn't something we are comfortable with, having the possibility of children exposed to this material is completely against the nature of this app and website.
Now with that said, these are the current rules, this might change in the future as we start to move the app to incorporate user logins we may be able to incorporate a NSFW category that only gets exposure under very specific conditions.
Hello again everyone!
In continuing with making the website more seamless, we are currently in the process of updating the forum to match the rest of the website. Due to the design of the forum software (it's a really lightweight software without a template engine), in order to make the forum match we must edit some core files that will in itself affect the current template that we have. These modifications for the most part keep the current template in tact, but certain pages will not look right until we activate the new template. We expect to have this completed over the next few days and then fully activate the new template.
Thank you for your patience while we work to improve the website for you!
